"So Your Heart Can Start to See"

Writer: Dotty Holcomb DohertyDotty Holcomb Doherty

A poem from Rumi today, from the heart of a 13th-century devout Muslim, a Sufi mystic, whose poems cross all boundaries of religion. Rumi--the voice of love, kindness, and friendship. His heart speaks to mine.

Sleeping Mallard Duckling

Find your place and close your eyes,

so your heart can start to see.

When you give up being self-absorbed,

your being becomes a great community.
